Underwater creature progress

The final assignment for my structure drawing II class was to create a book cover. We were given the exact story elements that needed to be present and told to illustrate.

 The whole assignment was a lot of fun, though very stressful. I'm quite happy with how it turned out too.

Apology, ROM sketches, and other such stuff

Hey to the few people who follow this blog. I'm sorry I don't update this often, not that I've ever been that consistent to begin with, but I've taking a liking to the microblogging that is tumblr. That's actually where I update most online now . I'll still update this blog periodically. I'm hoping I can get them both updating regularly at the same time actually.

I recently went to the R.O.M. with a friend of mine. We spent the whole day doing sketches and studies. Here are a couple of pages that I particularly like!

 Work in posses painting. Still life narrative self portrait.  (this was actually due as a final assignment but I had some problems keeping up with the class due to some extreme changes in my home environment. The prof took what little I had done and has marked it, but expects me to continue the piece over Christmas break and to keep him updated on it via email. )

Mona Lisa Project

History assignment. Recreating the Mona Lisa using the techniques of an artist of our choosing. I chose Keith Thompson for my artist. Love the mans work, though I sometime find it hard to look at as I'm a huge goose bag! XD

I also found some stuff I did in the latter part of my first college!

 Study just meant to build a human form without any use of line.

 Ink wash to show transparency of an object. I have no idea what that is though... apparently it comes from old speakers...

Finished First Semester

 I have finished my first semester at Seneca College... I finished everything with a "Just" above average score... slightly bitter about that. lol
I'll do better this coming semester!

I've had a lot more going on in my new school than I first imagined. It's really fun but I am so tired all the time...
Anyway, was going to update more this month, but a lot of that we've done in class has been practice stuffs. I may upload them latter, but for now I'll pick and chose.
